We are excited to welcome Jes Swift to Heartland Maker Fest as a new Maker! Jes Swift is a graphic artist making original designs for print and upcycling t-shirts into clothing and accessories. She has been making shirts, clothing, graphic art, and candles for over 10 years.
Jes will be demonstrating various textile upcycling projects including tie dye, inkodye (sun printing), and t-shirt reconstruction/braiding. T-shirts can be remade into new clothing and scraps can be remade into hats, water bottle holders, or finger puppets!
The booth will include hands-on activities, some requiring a nominal fee.
