Maddy MotzArt (Madalyn Davidson) is one of our new makers this year. She writes:
I have been painting all my life starting out in watercolors and acrylics. When I was younger my father would bring a dollar store set of watercolors on vacation in Michigan and Florida each year and we would wander off and paint the scenery en plein air. As an emerging artist, I currently enjoy abstract florals in acrylic and I rely on my travels as my main inspiration. From the vivid seaside cities of South Africa, the tulip fields in The Netherlands, or the mountain peaks of India’s Himalayan mountains, all these visuals meld together to inspire the use of as many colors as possible. In fact my favorite hashtag on Instagram is #allthecolors.
